Cheryl is the recipient of a 2003 New York Foundation for
the Arts Fellowship in Poetry. A writer and performance poet, Cheryl has
performed her work throughout the U.S. and internationally. In addition to
her five chapbooks of prose, her work has appeared in a number of
publications including; Pills, Thrills, Chills and Heartache
(forthcoming, Alyson Publications), The Milk of Almonds:
Italian-American Women Write About Food & Culture (September 2002, Feminist Press), The World in Us: Lesbian & Gay Poetry Of The Next Wave (2000,
St. Martins Press). She has appeared on various spoken-word CD’s and starred
in the performance poetry documentary Beef, an official selection of
the 2002 Baltimore Film Festival. Cheryl is a graduate of New York
University and received a Master’s degree from The New School in 2002 . She
