For over 50 years, Temple Beth El has been a cornerstone of Reform
Judaism in North Dakota. We are home to the only Jewish Education Program
in the State. Temple Beth El has a wonderful building with housing the
sanctuary, library, social hall, and classrooms. We are a welcoming
community, our services are open to all. We do ask that if you plan to
be attending services with a group, such as a confirmation class or adult
education program, we are notified in advance.
If you're considering moving to the area you might like to know that
Fargo-Moorhead is situated on the Red River, the dividing line between
North Dakota and Minnesota. We have bagel stores, latte stands, coffee
shops, over 50 restaurants, Barnes & Noble, great shopping, and the list
goes on and on and on.
The City of Fargo boasts a wonderful Public Library System, an active and vocal Human Relations Commission, a highly-rated Public School System and one of the lowest crime rates anywhere.
There are many hospitals in the area including, MeritCare and Innovis and Prairie at St. John's.
We have two state universities (North Dakota State University and Minnesota State University Moorhead) and one private college (Concordia College).
Minnesota Public Radio, the finest Public Radio system in the nation, has a local affiliate. We are only 3 1/2 hours from the twin cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul by car and only 45 minutes by plane. We are roughly the same distance from Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada).
Please don't hesitate to call the temple office if you have any questions.
Office hours are 10 to 3 Monday to Thursday, and 10 to 2 on Friday.
